Today (Sunday 30th) has gone pretty well to plan, with the weather as forecast which has helped; sunny intervals between light clouds. First job, declutter the the awning and pack away the cupboards:

C A R E F U L L Y fold the tent

and place it in its stuff sack (why is it called a stuff sack if you don’t just STUFF it?!) Get lost and do as you’re told!
That done and the poles also in their bag, and only a little later than planned – ie 6pm (clocks went back an hour here, too) we went to the sea side, just too late to see the sun go down, but the Atlantic rollers were magnificent as the sky coloured up.
Back at base, they enjoyed an apéritif sitting outside (30th October!) under the roll-out awning, with a crescent moon shining thru the trees, before going in for a cassoulet au confit de canard ( from a tin, – and why not?).
