Harry says “Goodbye”
to the BOX.
March 2025: Photos from this post have ‘disappeared’, and just now, I don’t seem able to find them anywhere else. Probably never will …
After a long time with the old ‘Box’ on sale, quite a few enquiries and viewings, a failed attempt to sell on E-bay, we’ve finally made a sale. (See Chapter 7) In the end, it was a combination of my own ‘flyer’ displayed in Kirkby Thore Post Office and the advert on ‘Preloved’ that sold it, together with a considerable drop in price from the original hoped-for sum. 
The BOX is ready to go.
So at high noon today (well, a rather drizzly, sort of low noon, really) two ladies came to take it away!
First we had to attend to the paperwork; then we did the handover tour – then none of us could find the keys! Who had them last? The drizzle was now a heavy shower ….. The keys were in the driver’s door!
BYE-BYE THE BOX!

Thankyou for the \’invitation to view\’, and I can\’t resist \’commenting\’, BUT I\’m not sure whether to comment against the individual episodes / chapters that provoke the comment, or whether to bung them all against the latest chapter.The point being that if I comment against chapter 2 (say) do you get notified that a new comment has arrived there? Or will my pearls of wisdom be buried unread and un-appreciated in the dusty archive of history? 🙂
I THINK I get an alert to say you\’ve left a comment, however far back it stands – try something trivial and see. You can also put something general (or specific, come to that in the \’Guestbook\’ and I\’d see that, too. (So would anyone else who looked, but for the moment I\’m keeping this pretty limited.) It\’s actually an experiment to see if this is a good way to keep in touch with family and friends while we\’re away.
